Flint Hills Pride General Membership Meeting April 30, 2010

• Meeting called to order by President Brandon at 6:15 pm
• Motion by Brian to approve minutes from April 3, 2010 general membership meeting.  Motion is seconded by Darci, motion carries.
• Treasurer’s report-
  • Cash on hand: $5,306.86
• T-shirt Inventory-
  • Additional 30 shirts purchased from GTM for $232.31
  • New count of shirt inventory to be conducted during weekend to determine if additional shirts need to be ordered.
• Acorns Resort-
  • Balance due of $375 due on June 18
  • Brandon will inspect the campsite to verify the site and facilities
  • Both campers are reserved for FHP, one still needs to be rented.
  • Motion by Darci to donate second camper for use by performers.  However, a camper may not be appropriate lodging for the entertainers.  Motion is withdrawn.
• Casino Night-
  • Aaron Felton donated $150, funds were used to purchase flat panel television
  • Large variety of prizes were acquired by FHP members.  FHP purchased several prizes
  • Casino Night purchases were approximately $14 under budget
• Wine Tasting-
  • Scheduled for Sunday, May 2.
  • 35 Ticket have been issued
• Flint Hills Pride Entertainment-
  • Kristie Stremel is confirmed to perform
  • Kristie will perform two sets, one each at 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm
  • Motion by Colin to pay Joe $50 for services performed during FHP 2010.  Motion is seconded by Joleen, and then amended to raise payment to $100.  Joleen accepts amendment and motion carries.
  • Discussion about performances of Jamie Ray and Melinda Ryder during evening hours.  There is an ability to assemble a very simple performance stage using a flatbed trailer, but we cannot acquire lighting.  This performance needs to be during the daytime hours with a conclusion by 5 or 6.
  • Motion by Brian to cancel the performance offer if an afternoon timeframe cannot be negotiated.  Motion is seconded by Darci and passes.
• Statement of appreciation from members of Manhattan Pride to FHP for participation in Manhattan Pride Parade.
• FHP 2010 Logistics Review-
  • Tents, ice, dumpster, sanitation facilities have been settled by Colin.
  • A/V equipment is pending.
• FHP 2010 Food-
  • Dillon’s has donated a $25 gift card.
  • Procurement of cakes through Darci’s niece.
  • Procurement of cold side items through local grocery stores.
  • Main entrées of pulled pork and brisket to be purchased from Darci and Joleen.
• Printing and publication
  • Flint Hills Beverage will produce and print flyers for FHP 2010
  • Playbills and a guestbook will be available at FHP 2010
  • Discussion about need to request attendees to control animals and follow state laws
  • No smoking under tents and shelter area
  • Discussion of awards
    • Award for Webb family for assistance they have provided this year
    • Friend of Pride – Rainbow Award
    • Mr and Mrs. Pride
• Next meeting May 15, 2010 at 7:00 pm at Xcalibur Club
• Motion by Ron to adjourn at 7:15 pm, second by Joleen.  Motion carries.
